Description

Workshop “eGovernment research: social and economic aspects”

Future eGovernment challenges are expected to come from changes in society and the interaction of governments with their environment. If technology is to become an effective instrument in the solution to societal problems, it must be translated into government applications. The workshop will discuss the societal implications and the ultimate expectations associated with this transformation.

The workshop will primarily address results of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) projects of the IST priority. Short presentations will be given by project representatives or other individual researchers and practitioners. Demonstrations of successful studies and applications, as well as lessons learnt through them are of particular interest. The complete Call for Participation is available online.

The organisers will be accepting short abstracts (of not more than 150 words) from those wishing to give a presentation. All abstracts submissions as well as expressions of interest in participating are to be sent via e-mail to: eGovR@eurodyn.com within the deadline of 10 February 2009.

It is to be noted that free-of-charge event is open to the participation of all those interested, in particular:

  • Representatives of eGovernment research projects in FP6;
  • Researchers, interested practitioners and promotion experts.

Places being limited, early registration is recommended.
