'Regions as Digital Territories of Excellence' Workshop - Steps towards a European ICT policy agenda by 2015
This workshop aims at further encouraging the debate among European Regions on the European Commission "New Digital Agenda beyond i2010" Initiative. On its side, the Regional Government of Lazio is implementing its own strategic plan called "iLazio 2010 - form eGovernment to Knowledge Society".
The main objective of the event is to inform about the new Digital Agenda for Europe and to promote the participation of Regional and Local Authorities to the post i2010 debate. The workshop offers the opportunity to discuss regional experiences on ICT policies highlighting the role of Regional Governments in this field and it will contribute to debate new ideas for the promotion of the knowledge society in Europe.
The workshop is divided into two parts:
- The future of EU policies and the contribution of European Regions to the debate;

Good practices at regional/local level.
This event represents an opportunity for gathering information on the European Commission policy after i2010. The workshop is addressed to public and private operators dealing with European policies, modernization of the public administration and development of knowledge society in regional territories.
The conference is free-of-charge and open to all European Regions, as well as enterprises, researchers and all stakeholders interested in innovation on the ICT field. Registration should be performed and emailed here with the respective form filled out.
