ICT SUMMIT of Uzbekistan 2008 – National Summit on Information and Communication Technologies
The sixth edition of the ICT SUMMIT of Uzbekistan presents valuable opportunity for representatives of government, non-government organisations, international institutions, academic and business communities to demonstrate new trends, achievements and benefits of implementation of ICTs in various areas.
Participants will also hear perspectives and insights on ICT development issues, build networks of contacts and jointly deliberate on actions to address issues emerging from the wide-scale application and rapid development of ICTs.
The ICT SUMMIT 2008 will focus on topics that notably reflect:
- Trends and major developments in regulatory policy;
- Progress and challenges in implementation of national ICT development programmes;
- Experience of ICT application in various sectors;
- Issues pertaining to infrastructure development and other critical areas.
The call for papers is open until 15 July 2008, which is the deadline for the abstracts submission. Topics for presentations include:
- Regulatory policy on ICT;
- eGovernance;
- eHealth;Â
- eCommerce;
- ICT in education;
- ICT specialists’ training;
- Access to ICT.
