eHealth Workshop in the context of the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Conference 2008
Whilst the figures suggest that the Internet is an eHealth success story, issues surrounding the credibility of information, disclosure of sensitive information and personalisation raise important questions for researchers and designers alike.
In a sensitive domain such as health, it is necessary to understand the ways in which people 'leak information' and how service integration can be achieved in an individually and socially acceptable manner.
This one-day workshop aims to bring together an interdisciplinary group of researchers and practitioners to discuss how the fields of human-computer interaction and applied psychology can address the issues raised by the growing domain of eHealth.
Position papers and/or original work (max 4 pages) which address these themes are welcome. Topics include (but are not limited to):
