Succeeding together in achieving public services at local level – The appointment of the local government and the public services at local level
Over the next six years, the impact of ICT is expected to drastically modify the landscape of public services at local level. In this respect, the newly elected French mayors of 2008 are placed at the forefront of the modernisation action.
The 5th Edition of the INOP meetings will bring together over 800 public stakeholders and their partners, as well as mayors, public services users, professionals and businesses in the aim to better understand the ongoing mutations, as well as the possible strategies in order to respond to the new modernisation challenges facing local government.
The programme of this two day event features over 40 workshops, roundtables and presentations. INOP 2008 will, among many other topics, address the following:
- eGovernment 2008-2013: what is at stake for local and regional government?
- Public Intranet/Extranet web 2.0: from centralised information to cooperation;
- Sustainable development: how to evaluate the impact of ICT;
- Communicating territories: which new services?
- State of the art of eGovernment in Europe;
- Which new services with very high broadband?
- eSignature
- eDemocracy and social networks: how to facilitate the citizen participation in the 2.0 era?
- Interoperability.
Participation is open and registration is to be preferably performed online at the event’s website. The participation fee amounts to €90 for one day and €145 for two days of attendance. Attendance is entirely free of charge for the residents of the Pays de Loire Region.
