Digital society in the Citizen 2.0 Era Organised by the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux (near Paris) and chaired by Mr. Santini, the city’s mayor and French Minister of State for the Civil Service, the eight edition of the World e-Democracy Forum will be held on 3-4 October in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
This 2007 edition will gather again over 1 000 participants from around the world, including renowned speakers, decision-makers, researchers and experts as well as businesses and NGOs representatives, to debate around this year’s key topic; “Digital society in the Citizen 2.0 Eraâ€.
The event agenda covers a wide range of issues related to the development of eGovernment, the emergence of eDemocracy, and eInclusion. The two plenary sessions will be respectively dedicated to “Building up trust in e-Government†and “Society in the citizen 2.0 Ageâ€. Concurrent roundtables will also be addressing key matters, among others: “What kind of public services can we expect in the User 2.0 Age?â€; “European e-government of the futureâ€; “How can we bridge the digital divide?â€; “Internet citizenship during electoral campaignsâ€, and more.
This year’s guest of hounour country is the United Kingdom. In addition, the e-Democracy awards winners will be announced at a dedicated ceremony on 3 October.

The Forum will also host an ePractice Workshop on Customer Orientation whose objective is to analyse a set of eGovernment cases where services to citizens have played a crucial role and have been incorporated as a key requirement since the early phases of the projects.
