Designing and Mastering together the European platform for eID interoperability Onom@topic+ is an Eureka MEDEA+ European funded project. Its strategic objective is to provide a complete technical platform and a framework enabling the European Governments to issue interoperable documents (Citizen Card, Electronic Identity, Visas or Passport documents) for electronic identification or authentication and for access to e-Services. Build around a strong industrial partnership involving all key players in the field, the project ambition is to spread its results in most European countries, including some of the 10 recent new EU entrants.
The 10 industrial and technical project partners organize a 1/2 day workshop during which they will give a deep status of their work covering:
- architecture of the proposed platform - comparison of the project solution with other federative eID frameworks
- IAS compatibility and security
- interoperability aspects towards pan European e services support
- endorsement of project results at normalisation level
- focus on some innovation topics such as new chip technologies, new contact-less interfaces, match on card biometry and middleware solution
Within the frame of the workshop 3 live demos will demonstrate the most innovative features brought by the partners in the scope of the project:
- eAdministration in a home environment
- Digital signature controlled by biometrics (MoC) with user-friendly registration
- Formal methods used for the validation of complex ICAO applications
