ePractice TV covered the interviews of top eGovernment experts from the 6th European Ministerial eGovernment Conference, held in Poznań, Poland this past November.

The ePractice.eu Communication Team had the opportunity to conduct interviews with high profile representatives of eGovernment decision makers, advisors and practitioners. Extracts from these interviews can be accessed through the following links:

In addition to these interviews, ePractice.eu disseminated print material and electronic gadgets to attendees and an informative video was displayed on the screens of the venue. The Communication Team was present at the accompanying exhibition at the European Commission booth when Polish Minister Michał Boni and Commissioner Neelie Kroes visited the exposition and attended the presentations of European Large Scale Pilot Projects.

Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for the Digital Agenda along with other EU and Polish officials, and more than 800 people from around the world attended this top event, including officials from national, regional and local administrations, representatives of industry, non-governmental organizations and domain experts.

During a joint Press Conference, with Polish officials Michał Boni, Minister in the Chancellery of the Polish Prime Minister and Piotr Kołodziejczyk, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Neelie Kroes stated that ideas are much more creative and innovative this time around and urged Europeans to make the appropriate steps towards capitalizing on job growth and cost cutting through eGovernment. Capitalizing on the Commission’s motto Build-Connect-Grow, the Commissioner continued that ‘currently there are 27 different systems of online public services which need to be unified and work together in a single digital market’. In addition, it was mentioned that priority should be given in the field of eGovernment services pertaining to healthcare, justice, public procurement, business activities and education.
