Are you interested in the measurement of eGovernment in Europe? Is your organisation involved in the analysis of eGovernment?
The European Commission is promoting the creation of a network of organisations interested in the analysis, measurement and spread of good practice in Europe, particularly in the field of eGovernment.
During the first stage we established the basics of our community, mainly to ensure that any organisation involved in eGovernment and Information Society activities is in contact with related partners. The EC and its ePractice.eu portal helped these organisations to keep in contact and to administer the network, giving them full freedom to decide the activities to be developed.
Now, once become into eGovMoNet, we have new ambitious and clear objectives:
-
Raise the awareness and stimulate uptake of eGovernment impact and user satisfaction measurements.
- Contribute to the harmonisation and quality of measurement frameworks.
- Run workshops covering a broad range of methodological issues, focused on exchanges of view, best practices and policy discussions.
- Establish a clear base line on the state of the art in eGovernment impact and user satisfaction measurement, including both methods and tools.
- Facilitate policy inputs beside on eGovernment impact and user satisfaction.
As well as clear outputs:
The community should stimulate and support development, implementation, identification and re-use of the best eGovernment impact and user satisfaction measurement frameworks and tools. eGovMoNet activities will be open to all.
The results will be summarised in a series of papers developed under an open licence, ensuring the ease of further development and reuse. The main outcomes will be published at the ePractice.eu portal community enlargement through:
- Associate partners: any legal body will be admitted to join the network as an associate partner to participate in the network activities according to their own interest and without any obligations.
- Associate experts: expert individuals qualified in measurement of eGoverment impact or user satisfaction will be admitted to join the network. Non-European members are welcome to join the network.
In this point, we only can encourage to join the network!
The ePractice.eu team invites you to join eGovMoNet and become part of a community with shared concerns and where everybody can be enriched through contacts and interactions.
