The Service Directive IT Impact Forum aims at helping all the practitioners in public sector working on the IT implementation of the "Point of Single Contact" PoSC in Europe to :
- meet and share their experiences, approach and knowledge,
- ask and provide support,
- focus on identifying the tasks needed beyond the "2009" deadline.
The community is open to all those who are interested in public service provision in relation to the Services Directive and who work with national and regional public authorities, industry, and a wide diversity of sectors /professions (stakeholders from European administrations, from public and private organisations, from Service providers such as SMEs). Joining the community at this phase of the implementation will help meet the needs of the public authorities as well as the desires of the service providers.
Various technical ‘building blocks’ will help European Union Member States, their agencies, and technical contractors to create the IT support necessary to establish Points of Single Contact in each country, and to undertake the necessary administration and support to ensure exchange of services throughout Europe.
Taking for granted that the necessary is done by / in Member States by the 2009 deadline, topics in this forum aim at reaching beyond.
This forum aims at identifying these various building blocks - but for this, we must get a clear picture how a Point of Single Contact could look like in 2020 - the ultimate implementation of the Point of Single Contact. Yes, I mean, what would be a \"science fiction\" scenario for an ideal PoSC?
