Impact
The used capacity of RAM, CPU are increased.
The cost of infrastructure and maintenance is decreased.
10 cabinets were unified in a single cabinet, hence management became easier.
The other 9 cabinets were given to the other institutions that are sharing data with SYDGM in SAIS
or Integrated Social Services Project.
The problem-solving process in Server/Client infrastructure is standardized and shortened.
More reliable Server/Client infrastructure is created. Security is redesigned.
With the backup feature, consistency is maintained.
For more than 5 thousand users performance is increased.
Lessons learnt
It is more efficient to use virtual servers than physical servers. Maintenance for a virtual structure is easier than for a physical structure. Since the physical hardware is reduced, electricity usage is decreased.
With the use of HA (High Availability) and DRS (Dynamic Scheduling of Resources System) solutions, the used capacity of RAM and CPU is increased.
