Case Abstract

The Czech Environmental Meta-portal is a unique information system, based on the principle
of sharing information, which is stored in different places using web based technologies.

The aim was to create an integrated metadata system across the environmental department (9 organizations at the beginning of the project) which - on the one side enables us to manage the metadata sets as close as possible to data sets and helps us in the implementation of metadata standards, and - on the other, provides a direct access to all metadata available from one location using simple web client.
