Case Abstract

HOP-IT is the seamless continuation of HCD (Human Cented design), UCD (User Centered design) and HCC (Human Centered Computing). In HOP-IT all latest trends and legacy good facts will be involved, so we have one new global paradigm in IT in the next decades.

We have the possibility now, because in present time it became more and more easy to develop software. What we need is a general HUMAN ORIENTATION (HO) of design, because the human species can´t change like an artificial system.

We have to find nature-based rules and definite borders for a software, which has to take care of human properties. Otherwise the human health is in danger or the software will not be accepted for long time.

The legacy HCI (Human Computer Interface or Interaction) has two sides. In HOP-IT the human side only is important.

Policy Context and Legal Framework

The main goals and benefits have been researched in form of an academic dissertation-start at the University of Vienna (Prof. MOTSCHNIG). This incentive phase is over. The research-project needs now scientific contacts in philosophy, information sciences, psychology, neurosciences, biology to extract their latest results in connection with best human habit by using the computer (HCI).

A first proposal of a HO-Manifesto is already written down. It will be upgraded by that persons who are interested in the theme and want to research together.

The HOP-IT can be communicated by predoc F. PLOCHBERGER. The paradigm will be a summit of the latest results of the involved sciences. In models and concepts paradigm-terms will be worked out and documented in a www-encyclopedia. A new scientific partnership is just now intended with Prof. HOFKIRCHNER at TU Vienna.
