Tech4i2, Headshift and Futuregov made an amazing job putting together such an incredible amount of interesting presentations and speakers and animating the sessions (thanks David, Dominic, Justin and Lee) It was a great honour for ePractice to host this interactive, on-the ground event. The number of participants present largely exceeded 100, without including the people that followed the event remotely.

 

From what we heard there is still a long way ahead for web 2.0 in public services to be a reality in every EU country (as it is nowadays in the social/professional private sphere), but there are already quite a few encouraging initiatives out there. I really hope that something will now emerge after this event, as David mentioned during the conclusions!

 

Very soon presentations, videos and proceedings will be on line at the workshop page. We will also soon organise an issue of the European Journal of ePractice on web 2.0 issues to get more contributions on this exciting topic and keep momentum. And hopefully much more!
