www.ePractice.eu is the one stop place for the exchange of advice, experience, events and stories on practices of eGovernment, eInclusion and eHealth, offering the most complete information and exchange opportunities for these specialities in Europe. Real life cases, insight and lessons learnt are shared among eGovernment, eInclusion or eHealth practitioners. Thus, ePractice represents a real bridge between these communities, as there is a high potential of interesting lessons to be learnt on all sides.
There is a growing presence of eHealth practical cases in the portal, and our aim is to involve the eHealth community actively in the ePractice exchange. In order to foster this increasing area, ePractice.eu has created a special information page for the eHealth community.
In case you are an eHealth practitioner we strongly encourage you to sign up to ePractice.eu and submit your experience.

The aim of ICT for Health (also known as eHealth) is to significantly improve the quality, access and efficacy of healthcare. ICT for Health describes the application of information and communications technologies across the whole range of functions that affect the health sector. The European Commission has been supporting research activities in ICT for Health for the last two decades. This has placed Europe in a leading position in the use of regional health networks, electronic health records in primary care and deployment of health cards. These developments have contributed to the emergence of an “eHealth industry”, which has the potential of becoming the third largest industry in the health sector, after the pharmaceutical industry and the medical device and imaging industry. By 2010, eHealth spending may account for up to 5% of the total health budget of the European Union’s Member States. - www.good-ehealth.org
This page brings together a series of good practices in eHealth, analysing lessons learnt and associated benefits. One of the project’s objectives is to develop lessons learnt from proven approaches and see into their transferability. Furthermore it aims at stimulating and fostering the up-take of eHealth by addressing the common challenges of eHealth implementation. Here interesting practical case studies on eHealth can be found, with an analysis of their lessons learnt. The Project is managed by Deloitte Belgium, in cooperation with Empirica, Germany. - www.ehealth-impact.org
This page contains a whole series of case studies and good practices around eHealth from EU Member States across all important fields, and some in depth case studies. The objectives of the project are to develop assessment and evaluation frameworks and methods, including quantitative indicators for eHealth products and services. Furthermore it aims at identifying good practice examples of e-health applications across Member States which have relevance in the domain of this study; applying method and measurement tools to pilot sites and making the assessment method and tools generally available online. - www.ehealth-era.org
The objective of the eHealth ERA project is to contribute to the coordination of Member States’ eHealth strategy formulation and implementation as well as eHealth-related Research and Technology Development (RTD). The project surveys and analyses eHealth roadmaps and RTD programmes across Europe, identifies common priority issues, and develops a roadmap for joint actions. The project will recommend sustainable mechanisms for effective transnational cooperation between all or several of the participating states for their mutual benefit. Thereby eHealth ERA aims at establishing an effective European Research Area (ERA) in eHealth. It also supports the achievement of the European eHealth Action Plan, which has the goal to share best eHealth practices and to measure progress as well as to address common challenges and to foster pilot actions. - Legally eHealth
The Legally eHealth study was undertaken to make a comprehensive analysis of the legal issues related to eHealth. It tries to make sense on how EU-level legislation applies to eHealth. The entire report can be found at the European Health Management Association – www.ehma.org
