SEMIC.EU Technology re-use Community

Since the launch of SEMIC.EU in June 2008, the technology used for the platform itself, has raised awareness on the semantic interoperability per se, on the possibility for public admisitartions to re-use it and thus have their own national repository and also on the building of a federation. This community os aimed for those public adminsitrations that want to move ahead on the area of semantic interoperability. One way to start is to have a central repository, in which all semantic assets can be hosted. This is ot that difficult to achieve. The SEMIC.EU has been developed with open suorce technology is free for re-use. This community intends to bring together those interested in the subject to: 1) Discuss opportunities and challenges in the field, 2) Learn from each other and work together to overcome challenges, 3) Access the support and coaching from the SEMIC.EU team.
